Widely adapted and often associated with Cornus florida in its native range. Bright pink flowers appear along its bare branches and twigs in the first warm days of spring; a delight after a long winter. Grow them on for a fast finish in fall, or use as rootstocks to graft/bud any of the fine cultivars.
