Bringing decades of experience in the nursery industry, Octavio Martinez serves as President and Owner of Heritage Seedlings, where he leads with a deep respect for the company’s history, its customers, and the people who make its work possible. His career with Heritage began in the summer of 2003, when he joined the nursery as a teenager. Recognizing his talent and potential, Mark and Jolly helped guide his growth within the company, giving him the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in nursery operations, customer relationships, sales, production, logistics, and business decision-making. Over the years, Octavio advanced from crew leader to supervisor, then to sales manager and general manager, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the company from the ground up.

After many years of dedication to Heritage, Octavio became owner of the company in 2025. As he leads Heritage into its next chapter, he remains committed to continuing the legacy established by Mark and Jolly, preserving the culture, standards, relationships, and values that have long defined Heritage Seedlings. His leadership focuses on supporting the team, strengthening operations, and ensuring customers nationwide can continue to rely on Heritage for dependable service, knowledgeable support, and exceptional plants.
