Acer palmatum 'Black Lace'

Black Lace gets better in the heat of late summer, its leaves deep dark purple. The combination of lobes being divided all the way to the petiole, a condition for its inclusion in the matsumurae maple group, and double serration on the leaf margin give it an unusual lacey effect. It’s a beautiful smaller growing maple.
