The wild population of Taiwan beech is quite threatened, so Mark was very excited to get a small handful of seedlings about fifteen years ago. Now growing in our stock field, they have proved hardy, dense-growing, attractive trees. Their leaves are small, narrow with a sharp apex; similar looking to crenata. It's slower growing than European beech and won't get as large but it will be a long-lived and attractive tree. We offer grafted plants.
