Ulmus davidiana var. japonica Northern Empress® 'Burgundy Glow'

In addition to being extremely hardy, Zone 3, this elm grows well without any chlorosis in soils with pHs exceeding 8. It is a smaller statured tree, barely 30’. It is mostly resistant to black leaf spot and sets few seeds. It also has good autumn color – apricot, orange, into burgundy red which is unusual for an elm.
