Profound hardiness, Zone 3b, for a katsura. This was selected after much testing at North Dakota State University. The hardiness may lay with its early dormancy. It has deep, blue-green foliage, which stands out in stark contrast to seedlings in the nursery, and has yellow and apricot fall foliage.
