Magnolia × loebneri Spring Welcome® 'Ruth'

Magnolias are rarely winter hardy in Zone 3, but this North Dakota State University introduction has proven winter hardy in USDA zone 3 for the past 20 years, enduring temperatures as low as -38°F. Plants are dense, well branched and flowers are pale pink in bud, gradually opening to pristine white with 11-13+ tepals and 3 to 4 1/2” in diameter.
