Magnolia x soulangeana

Seedlings of the fertile hybrid, M. denudata x M. liliiflora. Many of the hybrids known and loved are Magnolia x soulangeana, the saucer magnolia. Can be used as rootstock, sometimes preferred (vs. M. kobus) in the Southeast, given its warm and wetter summer soil.
